Dear Al, We have
been in the horse business since 1969. Growing up with livestock and
graduating from At present we have 10 horses on the farm, four of those are in training or racing. Fencing has become a big concern for us. Within the last two years, we have had two top racehorses get injured in wire type fencing. One was not able to race again, and the other not to full capacity. For what we lost, we could have fenced a couple of farms with the new fence from Farm Trak. In the past, we have used woven and hi-tensile fence, usually bought at farm supply stores. We were looking mainly for a way to keep horses in an area. We needed to replace a lot of our fence for paddocks. These are small areas where we turn out race horses. I looked at a lot of different kinds of fence. We were looking for injury-free as possible, not able to chew, easy to incorporate electric, maintenance- free and attractive. The installation is easy and does not take alot of equipment. Everyone that has seen the fence has said how attractive it is. Had no problems at all and horses really respect it. Looking at pictures of fence is nice, but you really have to see it in person to appreciate its value over any other type of fence. On the new fence, maintenance costs and effort will not be a factor. We hope to add alot more of the fencing next year.
Yours truly, Carl and Karen Hipsher
